It might be surprising, but you can earn cryptocurrencies on Reddit by posting and commenting on specifics communities, called subreddit. I will show you how to setup your reddit account and start earning Moons, Bricks and Donuts.
What’s Reddit ?
Reddit is a social news aggregation, web content rating, and discussion website founded in 2005 in California (United States of America). Registered users submit content to the platform such as article links, text posts, medias (videos and pictures), which are then voted up or down by other members. Those 3 tokens are a new way for people to be rewarded for their contributions to r/Cryptocurrency (Moons), r/FortniteBR (Bricks) and r/ethtrader (Donuts) communities.
By registering, you can claim Moons and Bricks from the Vault section of the Reddit app (iOS or Android), which is in-house Reddit’s wallet, and Donuts with Metamask. Based on the Ethereum Blockchain, those tokens represent ownership in the subreddit, entirely controlled by the user, and they can be freely transferred, tipped, and spent in the related subreddit. Once the tokens are earned, neither the admins nor the subreddit moderators can take them away from users.
How to register on Reddit ?
It is as simple as signing up on any other website. You can register from your computer’s desktop, or by directly downloading Reddit app from Google Playstore or AppleStore. Choose a username, set a password, enter your e-mail address then confirm.
Once done, the most important thing is to set up your vault. In the reddit app (Must be in-app, doesn’t work on desktop), click on the top left corner of your screen, where that little E.T. guy is ( His name is Snoo, and he’s the reddit mascot). Click on Vault then Create your wallet and follow the instructions. Don’t forget to write down your recovery phrase (the 12 words seed), as if you unluckily lose your phone, it will be mandatory to have it in order to restore your account.

How do I Earn Free Crypto with Reddit ?
Here comes the easiest part: Earning free crypto on Reddit. It’s as simple as posting or commenting on the related communities. The token amount you earn will depend on how many upvotes you get, so sharing quality post or funny post could give you higher probabilities to be upvoted.
Each round lasts 4 weeks, and after a month of sharing content and commenting posts, will come the distribution day for that “round”. The ratio of token/karma is calculated each round by taking the total Token to be distributed to contributors and dividing by total karma earned for the round. According to how you’ve performed, it will directly be sent to your vault on that day.
About Moons, you additionally get an extra 5% Moons on top of what you will earn if you participate to governance polls. You also get a 20% bonus by holding previous round earned moons.

Beware of the rules !
The 3 subreddits have a common rule: No spam ! It could result in a ban, hence, no more opportunities to earn Moons, Bricks and Donuts. So make sure you’ve read the communities rules.
Regarding r/Cryptocurrency , you must have a minimum of
- 50 comment karma with 30-days account age in order to post a comment,
- 500 comment karma with 60 days account age for posting.
